I dont know about the next person but looking at the passport why should'nt BB proceed with 1X1 ratio on all devices?? I dont see or read any disadvatanges.Are there any?? We get standout from the crowd look,1080p,wider views to the level of a sammy note ,wider keyboard and a device thats a size of passport.

Look at the slick device.Theoretically if you cut out the key rows and extend the screen BB can give us 5'5 possible 6'5 inch device at the size of passport.Preventing the a note size device



Any thoughts??

There has to be a reason why BlackBerry hasn't made a qwerty phone with a 16:9 screen... maybe way too long?

I do like the Passport and will consider moving up to it from my Z10 but will have to play with it first.

Yes exactly. 16:9 is too long, but 4:3 would be perfect.

BlackBerry passport looks pretty awesome save the square display. Maybe BlackBerry will have a good way of making sure that for movie viewing the experience is great despite the 1:1 ratio.
