This is huge. Check out the deep integration for yourself. The Android runtime is becoming very impressive capability wise on BB10

Lol, I couldn't take all the notifications. I even followed the instructions to delete within the app but I kept getting the notifications, sometimes messing up my hub. I ended up deleting the app. I have the app saved on the phone and simply reinstall it when I need to go to 1mobile )

Go into the app settings. Pull down from the top. Disable the app notifications. Easy Peasy. Also drove me nuts till I discovered this settings menu

I am in the same boat. Gonna wait until official release. Can't wait. BlackBerry should be much further ahead in os builds by then

Sure, except when you said those who never tried bb10 have no right to post here.

If you would install the leak like I have, you would find that 1mobile is sketchy at best. Deleted a few apps and then they reinstalled themselves, switched off notifications but they appeared anyway.

Try it yourself, it's an "interesting" experience.

Yep. And it wants me to update the BlackBerry World skype and flipboard, yet when attempted an error occurs telling me it cannot update those apps

Yes, I'm also getting the 1Mobile update notifications for several of my installed droid apps. I too discovered the setting menu with 1Mobile, but not sure if has taken yet...got at least two more notifications shortly after the settings change.
I do like the fact it alerted me when my apps actually needed updgrading....

If you download Ghost Commander from App World, that will kill all those pesky notifications. The 1Mobile app will not update any android application downloaded from App World. Hence, Flipboard and Skype won't update in 1Mobile, but the other ones will. That is my experience, anyway.

I can't find it at the moment, but I'm sure a developer popped up (maybe in the stock thread) to say that the .apks in 1mobile are modified in some way.

I've found a lot of the apps have a random person's name or a fake company name. I'd be leary of using any that require usernames and passwords for bank accounts, email, etc.

Are you running the .1550 leak? If so, you don't have to enable anything. You should get an option to save the 1mobile apk then just click it to install

Sorry not putting any Chinese owned app stores on a device, and that isn't a solution to close the app gap, especially from a company that has built its name on security. If this is truly the plan to close the app gap, then they need to partner with a credible, and trusted app source.
