my 16g card that i was so happy about was a hunk of crap. i couldnt get it to work right and then the front of card looked to be flaking off. i picked at it a little and the entire front of the card peeled off to reveal the words "micro sd". nothing about sandisk, size or class. i just got my money back thru paypal the other day. there is alot of fake cards being sold on ebay so be aware. i googled it and read a bunch of stories. damn theives. oh well at least i got my money back. lesson learned.
also i want to add that the card was in packaging that appeared to be factory. i sent pics to sandisk and they confirmed it to be a fake. i thought for sure since it was in that packaging that it must be legit. wrong.

Sorry to hear. Sometimes if the price is that good, its too good to be true
I have warned against fake cards in several threads on these forums.
Guys, get a good look at what you are buying and make sure it is a genuine SanDisk card. And be aware, at the moment SanDisk does not have a class 6 or above 16G card.
On a whim, I went to the Sandisk website and it starts with a flash intro showing "memory full" then switches to a character that looks like a card with arms and legs and says "something big is coming", then it goes to the main site.
Mine was a fake. When it said it was 15.6GB after a format, I had a feeling something was wrong. I dumped about 8GB on it. Seemed to be ok. Put it in my BB and stuff was playing. WOOT. Then boom... it crashed my BB. I reformatted it on my PC and same thing... 15.6GB available. Dumped 8GB on it again and looked at the folder structure. First 2GB looked fine. After that, chinese garble. I couldn't even erase the files. I have to reformat.
Complaint to PayPal. The guy left eBay. I got my money back and have a 2GB card that says it's 16GB.

Lesson learned.
what was the user name on ebay before he left, I bought one on ebay too from China and ebay removed him after I bought it , still waiting for it, may have to file a claim..thanks
If you received a card that looks exactly like the one pictured in the ad text and photo, I believe it is legit. The markings are correct and the price is reasonable for a class 2 16G card.
Remember people, the manufacturers of memory (disks, cards, etc.) are ripping you off by using M and G designations. In the computer world everything is a power of 2, so megabytes and gigabytes mean 1024x1024 byte and 1024x1024*1024 bytes respectively, while what they sell you is 1,000,000 per what they are calling a Megabyte and 1,000,000,000 for what they are calling a gigabyte.
Therefore your formatted space is going to always be less than the rating.
16,000,000,000 (what they call 16G) is really 14.90G. 14.8 is the correct formatted size for a normal 16G card.

gdayunk was the username. Paypal has found in my favour and is going to refund my money. I have a 2GB card now with a 16GB stamp.
I ordered 2 from this link and got them shipped in a few days, so far they're great working!
Lots of space (tho its 14.8GB) and yes, they seem a little slower than usual but only at writting not at reading, still perfect for what I need. Also I haven't had any problem while playing music or videos on my 8530.
I'm amazed that I paid less for 2 cards than I would've paid for just one at the store!
