What are everyone's best guess at the release date for 10.3, I think it will be around August as this would be 6 months since 10.2.1 was released to most people and most of the releases seem to be about 3 months apart but as this would be a bigger release I think double that timescale.

What does everyone else think?

Next version is not 10.3, but a tiny bit more :-)

I think it will be sooner. It might drop in April or early May. Going by what happened with 10.2 release last year. It came out officially in about 2 months after the leaks drop and along with the unveiling of the Z30.
Now that the Z3 will be out by April, I'm looking at 10.3 coming almost immediately after Z3 drops into the market. #justmythoughts

I'll guess much later. I also think that the z3 we will see 10.2.1.28xx release. I think 10.2.2 is the branch for the q20, maybe. Which means 10.3 is the branch for the next high end phones z50, q 30. Which could be this fall.

I don't really see the point of a 10.2.2 release unless it is that 10.3 is still a long way off. I would love BlackBerry to be the company that is open about timescales and what is expected in each release as that would set them apart from apple etc which is a bit of a black box until the beta releases come out but I guess that would lead them to be criticised if the don't release on time which they have a habit of doing.

I would love users to be able to vote for the features that they want worked on first so BlackBerry could prioritise what people actually want.

Why leak out 10.3 when 10.2.2 will be the one to come out first.
Does not make sense to me.
And I do not see anything that 10.2.2 can bring other than very unseen changes.
Also, bb10 users already on 10.3 leak would not even consider going backwards to 10.2.2
It will be like going back to 10.2.0 from 10.2.1
So I still think 10.3 is coming out sooner than we think.

Btw, 10.1.0 never went to 10.1.2 before moving up to 10.2.0
We have seen almost everything 10.2.xxxxx has to offer, it's time to move on to 10.3

Leaked OS 10.3 is so embryonic that no one should use it as their daily driver. I have it on my Z10 to play around with and so far its fun to have. My Z30 is my daily driver and I won't even think of putting that OS.

It's hard to tell that when you open with why leak 10.3 when 10.2.2 will come out first....
And going back from 10.3 would be nothing like going back to 10.2. Not by a long shot.

Relax guys 10.3 should be here by fall and hopefully 10.2.2 by spring/summer. Remember these people at BlackBerry are moving very quickly, other companies OS release updates much slower than BlackBerry (Apple, Android). BlackBerry needs to catch up i know, but they are trying brings things as fast as possible for us. We dont want a 10.3 by summer and then have a bunch of threads complaining about battery life or something else. Be patient, good things come to those who wait

BlackBerry has typically released major OS updates with Device releases, I predict 10.3 will be released at the end of April with the Z3.

10.2.2 will most likely be out this summer. Probably will bring bug fixes, performed enhancements. Not really counting on any new features in this rev. If any, maybe some small ones.

10.3 seems like it will launch in the fall to the end of the year. Makes sense to launch it when a new high end smartphone is coming out from BlackBerry too. This of course will bring BlackBerry to the same level as Android and iOS, maybe even ahead some. We will find out in time.

That's if 10.3 is even still being worked on. Build 140 that got leaked is actually over a month and a half old (almost 2). And, so far, no one has spotted a newer build of 10.3 since the initial spot of 140 back in the second week of February. At least not that I've seen. If there was a newer one, then I just missed it.

10.2.2. has had a few more spots since then (340 being the last I've heard of just a few days ago), so I'm beginning to think they may have stopped 10.3 for now. Maybe to pick it up later. I don't know for sure, but it kind of seems like it.

My prediction based on all spotting to date:

10.2.1 MR with Z3 in April. (10.2.1.29xx)

10.2.2 (10.2.2.367 spotted) will be in the summer sometime.

10.3 (only at 10.3.0.146) fall with the new flagship .

There hasn't been much development in 10.3 lately based on the spottings. 10.2.2 is starting to pick up in speed.

Note: we have no idea what the 10.2.2 UI looks like. For all that we know, we can see a lot of the new things that's we saw in 10.3.
