I really like how with 10.1 you can use flick typing in the browser, ie if you type in a site, any site, the next time it is available as a flick suggestion. However I (accidentally of course) in private mode visited a site that I wouldn't want anyone (especially my wife) to know I accidentally visited, problem is now when ever I type www.po it is up there as a suggestion, I've tried deleting history and cookies but it is still there, my wife likes to use my phone more and more, does anyone know how to fix this?

    Accidentally, huh? ;-)

Go into Settings, Language and Input, Prediction and Correction, and hit Clear Learned Words. See if that helps...

Thanks dude your a life saver, I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that when in private the words shouldn't be learned, or there should be an option to shut it off, hopefully in the next update?

Yeah that fixed it, but as I said above this needs to be fixed when I'm private mode, because I just lost three months of learned words, now when I do my z10 typing demos it's not going to be nearly as impressive. Also if I do happen to stumble upon one of these sites I'll have to lose my library of words each time, which isn't really that good

Is there not an option to stop the phone from learning new words? Use that...

Ah yes that works beautifully, all is good thanks! Joking aside was concerned because sometimes my kids get their hands on my phone and wouldn't want them to come across anything stupid I was looking at.

That's definitely a bug and should be reported as such. You shouldn't have to turn off predictive text in order to use a browser in private mode. I think the problem is that while the browser 'knows' it's in private mode, the keyboard subsystem doesn't (I mean, the OS probably doesn't have the concept of a 'private mode' at all). Anyways, I'd definitely report it. Try the beta zone forums or the BB help twitter account.

BTW - does anyone know the most effective way to report bugs to BlackBerry?

It shouldn't pop up and not to worry. People tend to act funny when it comes to that subject. I'd be worried if it was a site Saville would have preferred because that makes me sick.

I don't own a Z10, but I know that on the PlayBook you did a tap and hold on the learned word and it gave you the option to delete it. Is there anywhere on or around the word you can tap and hold?

It is a long winded process (I've reported bugs to BBRY on multiple occasions - once for BB10 OS) but basically what you have to do is call your network provider, get them to transfer you to BBRY tech (a lot of network provider representatives are clueless so may claim to not be able to do this or not have a number for BBRY but they do definitely have a contact) and explain your issue to BBRY direct.

This is frustrating indeed. 3 mths of learned words down the drain when I noticed this problem.

I tried clearing learned words but when in Google advanced search it still throws up suggestions that should be deleted. Is there any way to delete them in there? I cleared history and such already.

    More of an annoyance really

Isn't there a setting on Google to not use suggestions?

If you are not logged into Google, then you just have to clear your cookies and browser history.
If you are using search while logged into Google, the suggestions are based on your historical searches and you cannot clear them. Google collects a LOT of data from you and thats how they make money. They sell analytics.

I think there was a way to report a bug through the official BlackBerry forum.
