You can't do this at the moment. You can only send pictures one at a time unfortunately. Hope it will be available soon.

If it was BBM server that was down, media and complainers will also state that as another reason why WhatsApp is better than BBM. Just saying.

Can BlackBerry fix, yes, fix cause for today's standard is considered plague. I'm talking about when I send a picture in BBM, and this is for everyone, the one receiving the picture gets a blurry crappy picture... how's that possible?

If you receive a picture that is blurry then request for a HQ copy of the picture. Just tap on the picture & hold until the menu comes out & choose HQ.

In this way the pictures will be much before than those sent by WhatsApp.

WhatsApp quality is perfect, BBM is subpar. I don't want to be telling people every single time I send a picture. Hey, request for a higher quality one by tapping and holding your finger on the picture and pressing HQ. Having them to do such hassle is embarrassing.

I beg to differ, I think WhatsApp quality is subpar whilst BBM is better because it is the original quality.

Why? Because they BBM cares more about data usage?

Honestly I love them both, but unfortunately the majority seem to have gotten so used to WhatsApp they do not see a worthwhile reason to change

Even when BBM was initially released to the masses everyone downloaded it but after a while ended up uninstalling

It's a shame the video and voice functionality on BBM is super

Anyways I now have only 2 people left on my BBM list that sums it up really

I have several issues with BBM, today I rejected a call from a contact, and sent an automated message by bbm, it confirmed it was sent, but nothing actually happened, there was no message, I checked my bbm and sms.

Also, I constantly get failed image sending, on bbm, true whatsapp servers where down the other day, but I must say, it is more reliable, bbm is also much more laggy.

I converse with 5 or 6 times more friends on whatsapp to bbm, friends just refuse to use it.

Original quality only if they ask for the high quality pictures. Trust me, I have a lot of friends in BBM, people that has been using it for years, not everyone knows about that feature. They just want things to work from the get go.

    And BTW

    BBM (40KB)

    WhatsApp vs BBM-bbmimg_20140219_165720.jpg

    WhatsApp (74KB)

    WhatsApp vs BBM-img-20140527-wa005.jpg

    BBM (43KB)

    WhatsApp vs BBM-bbm-img_00002011.jpg

    WhatsApp (78KB)

    WhatsApp vs BBM-img-20140527-wa004.jpg

I'd rather have a 78KB picture that looks good than having to ask for a 560KB one that looks excellent anyday. But receiving a 40KB that is ilegible and looks like $#! is a waste of my bandwidth.

And you are telling me BBM quality is better? :/ Those are the original pictures as received from the raw in each platform, stretched in a Z10 would look like this... the words BlackBerry in the Z30 are ilegible!

    WhatsApp vs BBM-bbm-stretched-img_20140527_013457.png

I don't like the extra step of asking for HQ, the other person has to be in the phone to accept, or I have to accept and they have to ask and it's when I'm available to accept it not when they want it. Plus not everyone knows about that. People nowadays don't care about data or whatever they just want things to work without hassles and that's it. Simple. WhatsApp could implement the same, but it's a hassle for the customer to do this, the more simple for the user the better.

Based on this same logic, I have no way to get the high quality pictures from my contact via WhatsApp. I will not be able to store & print or use it for any other purpose other than just viewing on WhatsApp.

At least in BBM I can have the option to get the full quality picture for my own use.

Yeah, the media has nothing to do with this topic... stop being a fan boy and discuss things like they are.

For me WhatsApp is the best, not because of functionality but because my friends and people I need to chat with actually use it against BBM which is just a desert for me. I wish I could uninstall it.

Whatsapp is simply fantastic at sending multiple pictures (and of higher quality without going the annoying 'request' route on bbm) and also has a better handling of voice notes. I can't preview nor ever listen to my own voice notes on bbm, that's just silly, and it also needs my contact to accept them EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. At times, they are away from their phones, so it just ends up timing out.... it truly is ridiculous

That being said, once bbm went multiplatform, I only use it bout a tenth of the amount I did before, so bbm is my preferred client... But works need to be done to make the experience much more PRACTICAL.
