I'm wondering what's Bbms current popularity. I wonder because I've seen all these huge number of downloads from ios and Android, plus, the huge number of BlackBerrys out there, but I also.wonder how many use on a regular basis because peru used to be BlackBerry country but I've talked to a few friends and they've told me a lot of of their friends don't use bbm anymore because of pins and that most use whatsapp.

Hard to say. I know I dumped WhatsApp the instant BBM was available cross platform. I have converted some family but not many friends.

I have 209 contacts and 15 groups, plus I follow 23 channels. As the CB Mod Team Leader, and as a CB Ambassador I also use BBM as a tool, participating in work BBM groups. I am also in a BBM group for Mobile Nations Moderators. Additionally I belong to several developer BBM groups, where we share resources and ideas and otherwise collaborate. I belong to a beta tester BBM group where we help test products for a well know BlackBerry developer. And of course I belong to several fun BBM groups too, sports, tech, CB etc

BBM may be popular in some areas, but for me, 3 BBM contacts and 65 Whatsapp contacts.
