Sorry to hear BBM is not meeting your needs on your current phone. Just today BlackBerry announced their intent to release calling and video chat for BBM "within months". Soon you should be set.
I am glad to see you are using BBM. Since this cross-platform release, my contact list has blossomed from 3 persons to about 15. I too am eager to voice/video chat with many of them. Until then, voice/video is reserved for a BlackBerry phone. You are welcome to pick up one of those. :)
The 5 inch screen (Z30) is expected to release in November. If you are willing to entertain a new device, this one is brand new.
Can you chat on Hangouts? Swiftkey? Nova Launcher? Swype? Tasker? Multitude of camera apps, Plex, Google Maps, Google Music, Google Keep, Gmail.. What about play Asphalt 8, Angry Birds Star Wars II, Call of Duty, The sonics, final fantasy's, Dots, Wheres my Water 2, Minecraft, GTA, PvZ2, Contra, World of Goo... I dont know, to name a few.
