    Any one knows it will work on WIFI or only on Carrier data plan?
    As for BBM on BlackBerry handset we need BIS or BES services, what about android and ios?

    I don't see why not, bbm works on wifi on BlackBerry platform, it should do the same for the others

    You do not need BIS or BES on BlackBerry 10 for BBM. I have neither.

    Let them even get a workung copy out. Then worry. So far all smoke and mirrors..except for the version they released that was terrible.

    I've tested the leaked apk before its being closed and it's working on wifi and data plan without BIS.

    I'm using BBM on wifi sometimes, no data plan required, no BIS or BES required for Z10 LTE

    Well that is sort of lame..BBM was meant to be "always connected" not "leave me a message and maybe I'll get back to you when I get wifi" lol.

    Better than not having xBBM though!

    BBM is always on if you're connected. Not sure what you mean. Anything not local to your device requires either a wired connection or a wireless one. BBM requires the Internet of course.
