I understand that it may be possible to sideload BBM onto Android tablets, but I am just curious as to why it is not available from within the Google Play store. I know that BBM is available as an app for Ipad, but Android tablets are probably going to outsell Ipads 5 to 1 during this holiday season.

Does anyone know?

Maybe BlackBerry didn't have sufficient opportunity to test it on all the Android screen sizes.

Maybe for the same reason it's not available for our own PlayBook?
Who knows. But if the PB never gets it and Droids do, that's some messed up plan by BBRY

I just got an Android tablet, and I will try to sideload BBM for Android on there, but most people are not going to do that, unfortunately.

The iPad version is aesthetically ugly. It's just blown up from the iPhone version and sits in the middle of the screen.

This can't be the problem, although BlackBerry sold an discount Z10 to me since I wasn't going to chance bbm not working on an Android tablet for one of my kids.
