This is basic, but might be helpful as Android BBM friends of mine found it helpful.

There is a belief that only pictures and voicenotes can be sent from an Android device on BBm because those are the only two options.

However, the Android OS has a system wide share feature like BlackBerry. Once bbm is installed it is also included on this menu.

Thus, you can send any type of file that a BlackBerry can by choosing 'share' and then 'share over bbm'.

Yes..i knew it could be done!! Been wondering why people have been saying u can only send pics and such, I know their the only option but I mean..it's kinda basic

Info is as old as since bbmx launched, but I had experiences that showed at least four Android did not know it was possible so assumed there may be others who wouldn't know either.

Hopefully it helps someone who sees this thread
