It could be alot of variables attached to this... Is that person A on WiFi when attempting to make a BBM call? What country? What network? Can another person B call person A? Do they see person A as online on BBM voice?
USA - Sprint. Problems persists whether phone is on cellular or wifi. No one can see the phone as available for voice.
uninstalled bbm and reinstalled?
Try reinstalling and see if that works... Not really sure. AT&T was blocking BBM voice before but I don't think that's your issue.
WiFi had been turned off inadvertently. Best guess is that phone was on the borderline for "good enough" cellular data connectivity as it was bouncing from 3G to 3g to 1X. Suspect that BBM has a timer requirement to maintain basic ping (latency) and speed before it will allow the phone to register as available, or place calls?
Yup! Connection wasn't good enough to maintain a good enough phone call so I guess it didn't show.

i've recently updated my bbm on bb9220 and ever since it updated it keep me showing that voice chat connection could not be established..... and now its giving me a headache.. i've already tried reinstalling it.. but then its of no use the problem continues.... and it make your phone a bit slower too once you reinstall it.... can u plz fix this...
Pls guys ever since I upgraded to the 10.3.700 when I try to make a video call on my bbm, the bbm video call comes up but is not showing and not connecting. Even when someone calls me it comes in but I can't receive. When I try to receive it goes blank without showing anything. Pls any help
