UPDATE: received e mail from BlackBerry support about BBM. According to BlackBerry cross platform will come to OS 10 as well. The role out is still underway.

I REEEALLY hope this is true, not that I video chat everyday, but I do have to participate in video chats with coworkers from time to time and I don't care for any of the video chatting options out there, the free ones at least, and I don't do it often enough to justify getting a subscription to any of the paid services. Common BlackBerry I know you can do this!!

I think BlackBerry just ****ed with us, again. Possibly to try and get us over to their silly BlackBerry Androids. I will only switch for a good physical keyboard device. Very unsure whether the PRIV is it for me..

I have the priv currently using the classic and I need to vent about the priv keyboard. The priv is a good phone and having the android os with the app ecosystem is amazing. But the keyboard sucks. The scrolling feature is nice. The keyboard has not real confirmation click that is so loved on the 9900 and carried forward with the classic. The keys are very shallow and it's probably due to the ultra thin design of the phone which I would sacrifice for a more evolved keyboard.

BBM video chat between Android and BB10 OS is not possible right now. It may be available in future but right now only following options are available.
1: BBM video & audio between BB10 Devices
2:BBM Audio Call between BB10 and Android/iOS devices
3: BBM Video & Audio Call between android and iOS devices

It has also been observed that BBM video call doesn't work among android and iOS devices in some countries.

I am not sure about your question but if you are asking if BBM video and voice call works on BIS package then yes, it works fine. If you are making BBM calls using mobile data then it will definitely consume your data package.

I have been emailing BlackBerry nearly everyday about them making BBM video calling cross platform for BlackBerry 10 devices (I currently switched to the classic) I have only received a replay that they are going to update it soon and they are working on it.

My question is what are the odds of them actually putting in the effort and resources in BBM 10 video calling when they are devoted in to their new android devices?

You know, before summer began I was very optimistic about BBM Video cross-platform coming to BlackBerry 10. But now? I am not even counting on it any more.. those cheeky bastards at BlackBerry.
