I am using bold 9790 and my friend is using bbm for iphone. He said that my PIN got published while I was sleeping! I didn't even didnt touch my blackberry at that moment! Particular message was "[XXX] changed display name to #[pin number]" and indicated time as "15 mins ago". How could it happen? I did not open blackberry, my bbm profile has my name typed in profile name and not my pin. Can anyone help in resolving this crisis?
So if it said that in updates, you are a contact and so are all the other people who would see his pin. But they already have the pin if they are contacts. So even though it was a quirky thing, I don't see it as a crisis. Know what I mean?
Sometimes when people join BBM or groups, they appear as a pin number until they add a period (.) after their name. I don't know why but that seems to solve it for a lot of people.
