    Hi

    i was so happy with Z10 in my hands until i discovered that my Z10 doesn't have the features below

    No " Bbm video/voice "
    No " browse " in phone ringtones
    No "blackberry protect"

    it put me to worry when i noticed that my z10 model number is : Dev Alpha !! can anyone explain me if its the same for all Z10 ? or is it just me the unlucky ? :/ Also tell me if the OS version is restricting me from having all these options missing ??

    Some carriers have blocked this feature. Mostly in middle east countries. Could that be it?

    See the top where it says "Category General"? Click that, and change it to "Hardware." How many gb of RAM does it show? 1 or 2?

    From what I can tell, it looks like someone ripped you off and sold you a Dev Alpha, which has half the RAM of the Z10. Also, some apps are apparently not compatible with the Dev Alpha as the developer has made them only available for the Z10. Where did you get the phone from?

    I posted two more screen shots. Hope that can be helpful to you guys to solve my issue. I got it from Qatar and it's a used phone. If nothing helps then ill take it to the store "Star link" as the phone is under warranty

    So you have 2gb of ram, how come it's a dev alpha. Only Z10 have 2gb, dev only have 1gb

    Mine is z10 for sure but there's something wrong after official OS update . It shows me that this phone is Dev alpha :/

    There was a leak of the same OS build for STL 100-1 that was posted here two weeks back. I installed it, and I have had no issues so far. You can check it out here http://crackberry.com/leaked-os-1001...y-10-dev-alpha
    It's for both STL 100-1 and dev alpha. Use Google Chrome to download it. Your carrier might have disabled the BBM video feature from the specific update it pushed to devices.

    Do a wipe of the phone and the model number will become STL 100-1 ... looks like a OS upgrade was done with Dev Alpha.

    Guys how can I take backup of my media files, contacts and bbm whatsapp etc?? I cannot even install blackberry link because I'm using windows8 on laptop :/
