Hi, I'm posting this for a friend who uses bbm on ios. She got a new phone and installed bbm but can't sign in. (Old phone was iPhone also). Here's the issue:

"So I got a new phone and downloaded the blackberry messenger but when I try to login it says my email is not a valid user id. Same thing when I try to reset the password. So I try to sign up and it says the email is already a valid user id"

Any ideas what to try ?

Are you sure that she did sign in?

It's not her fault, the system is very obtuse. Have her install the app.

The first screen is actually sign up, not log in, which is probably why she's getting that message.

Towards the bottom there is a sign in tab, click that.

The second screen is a phone number log in. She can use that if she added her phone number.

If she used email, then click on the bottom tab again to bring up the actual log in with email.

Yes, it is a stupid way to do. Not her fault she missed it.
