I just discovered a new BBM feature on BB10 that lets you reference content from the Updates timeline.

When you're in the Updates screen, if you click on a contact's picture or name next to their status update or new display picture notification, it will open up a chat with that contact and at the bottom will say "about your personal message" or "about your display picture." It lets you type what you have to say and when you hit enter, it references the status message/display picture.
