Last night my BBM profile lost all its contacts and groups. I am listed as an active contact in my friends' phone(s), and when they msg me it shows as delivered (but I dont get it becuase my contact list was empty).
Worse is the groups. I am the only admin of several groups, and now don't have access nobody can invite me or delete me. I am locked out of my own group!
Does anybody know how to rectify this, or how to contact BBM technicians?

Did you happen to switch your BBID to an Android device then back to BB10?

This happened to me today on Android. To fix it in the BBM app I went to Me, Account, BBID and signed in to my BBID again.

No, I've been on Android for a while. No other events, just suddenly lost the contacts

Tried that, and didn't seem to change anything. Its as thought the profile had been corrupted

also lost all my contacts, and most of my BBM contacts were soley pin based contacts. now they are gone. what's next ?

This happened to a friend of mine as well. She submitted a ticket with BBM but not response yet.

I lost mine. Can't readd as it says it is already there. Can't delete and readd as I haven't found a way to delete it. Good luck.

BBM on Android/iOS is separate from BB10/BBOS. You need separate account for each.

People are talking about losing their contacts on android. Not about switching between Android and BB10. The scenario with my friend is BBM on the KEYone and BBM on a replacement KEYone. Nothing to do with BB10.

I'm on the KEYone. Switched between BBM Consumer to BBM Enterprise, when I came back to BBM Consumer, I couldn't log on. Temporary Server Error which seems permanent!

Fix....(at least it worked for me).

Have someone else in the group pull up the barcode for the group on their phone. And on your device click "join a group". Scan the bar code and you will be removed and added to the group simultaneously. And you will have your group back. I'm sure they could also email you a pic of the group barcode and you can print and scan it if you are not near anyone. Hope it works for you. It did for me. Thanks.
