Imagine if BlackBerry implemented a way to link your phone number to your bbm pin.

Bbm would be able to link the phone number attached to your sim and anyone that has bbm and also has you in their phone book would be able to immediately add you to bbm.

Imagine how much easier adding users would be, and best of all its optional so you can still be totally secure and use just a pin.

I would prefer if it remained as is. My pin is private and my number is not. Only a few have my pin in comparison to my number.

I think this would be a good idea as it would be easy to suggest people in your phone book who are on bbm. I'd keep it just for suggesting contacts though and not have it appear in profiles so you can still keep your number private if u swap pins

The number wouldn't be visible even if you opted in to link your number, it's just used in the background to help populate contacts
