I can almost see the CrackBerry headline tomorrow...I can just see this happening:

Tomorrow BBM on Twitter will issue another generic, highly vague statement. Here's the gist of it without fancy wording:

* xBBM still coming soon
*We're still committed
*We're still laser-focused

What CrackBerry bloggers will say: Many are becoming impatient waiting since this is the second update we've gotten with no specific release date, but it is nevertheless nice to see BBM committed to keeping us informed.

What CrackBerry should say: This is rapidly getting increasingly preposterous. Either a more specific statement needs to be released providing a rationale on the delay, or it needs to be released ASAP to avoid further corporate suicide.

P.S. No offense and not trying to call him out but Bla1ze, let's not apologize for BlackBerry now. Are you SURE about "you all complain but you all will still download it when it comes."

I don't know man. I'm about as loyal as a BlackBerry fan gets...only brand I've ever owned...and I'm getting the urge to throw in the towel. And when I do, I'm not gonna want anything that's laser-focused and committed to come soon on my new phone.

I think the take-away here is it is time to stop apologizing for BlackBerry or yielding any slight, trace amount of a sliver of benefit of the doubt. For real now - no sugar coating stuff. If they fail to meet a deadline, I want to see a clearly negative headline on CrackBerry on it. Think about it: what's a better motivator for a company known to over-rest on it's existing fan base than to show that even the loyal aren't eating the excuses anymore?
