    To avoid fees one can send Monday via PayPal as a gift I believe. When I tried sending money via BBM there was no option that i saw and there was a charge of a couple bucks

    Even if you choose to send money via a bank (i.e. checking/savings) account? Typically PayPal charges a fee for transactions sent from a debit/credit card. I haven't used it on BBM so I don't know for sure.

    I did some testing. If you send money via your credit card there is a fee

    If you send money via your bank account (or current PayPal credit) it is free
