    Only recently signed up for bbm on android. Can anyeone advise what the time displayed is? I have the connected icon at the top of my screen then if I drag the top down it shows a time on the other side.. what is this?

    Sorry newbie error! Yes that.is it when I sign in? Or does it update every so often? Also how come my friend can have her bbm icon showing but sti has to sign in when she goes in??

    Not entirely sure what that is, but my wife turns her 3g data off, and only goes on WIFI, yet she never has to sign in all the time. What device your friend uses?

    Ah so its not a time when you say you maybe check/read mesages? I was intrigued lol.

    My friend is on am htc. Goes between wifi and 3g . The bbm icon a t the top of her screen is always there but if you tap it or go thru normal shortcut icon it brings up the sign in page. I was of the understanding that bbm is connected all the time?? You cant password protect bbm can you?

    I only password protect my phone, so not sure on how that works.

    Thanks for your replies. We just found it strange as she cant remember clicking any box to password protect and neither of us can find one in settings and googling has only brought up a bbm security app you can download.

    Also the white icon with the black BB dots in the notification bar is the icon to show connected. Dpes this change colour when a message is received?
