    I happen to be constantly talking to my iOS and Android friends to get them to update their BBM apps!!!

    BlackBerry should be sending email reminders or even better direct official messages to all users that have not yet updated their app to be able to take advantage of the new features.

    Some users forget about the app cause they probably don't have many contacts yet. This can be a good way to keep them more engaged IMO.

    Just sayin'!

    Better still send them a BBM to remind them to upgrade. The reason is that many of my friends on iOS and Android do not read their emails anymore. They rely wholly on WhatsApp.

    Hmmm then on second thoughts, it may not be a good idea as many of the iOS users don't get notifications for BBM received also or some of them gets it but choose to ignore it.

    Maybe SMS may be more effective.
