Sorry if this has been asked before - can someone clarify on the above please? I have allow BBM calls over mobile network enabled in the settings of the BBM app, so is the person I video with, but from time to time we can't video because the video icon is grayed out, but can still send BBM messages.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wind is 4G and it works on that network.

Is the carrier blocking bbm video over network? who is your carrier?

in my experience if I'm on 2G I lost the video icon on 3g no problem

All it means us that the other person is not available for video chat. Coverage being the main reason.

Usually when it's greyed out it means the person isn't available for a video call (no signal, possibly for if they're on another call etc.)

Never tried it on 2g, can't imagine it'll be very smooth... would recommend 4G or above for best quality

I'm on o2 UK and can make calls over 4G 3G and EDGE

Do you both have it set to allow over mobile network? Or at least connected to wifi?

And if you are connected to 2G, then I doubt it will work over the 2G network.

i am having issues with video as well, we can get it to connect but than video usually stalls and audio wont go through, usually only on one end. Me and my friends have tried 4G and wifi and still have issues, both of us are on newest updates, me with rogers him with wind
