My apple using friend deleted BBM from his phone because according to him it sent invites to everyone on his contact list without his permission. Is this possible?

Of my remaining 15 BBM contacts, 9 are on iOS. There are still issues, but nobody ever reported to me on this particular one.

On first launch it asks you to scan your address book to find friends or skip
Obviously your friend didn't read, because after the scan it shows you what contacts are using bbm and offers to "add all" or manually select which to send invites to.

It only sends out invites if you tell it to

Yeah, could have been a mistake on first set up. It's actually a bit tricky on how to not send invites to everyone.

Even I totally did it once by "mistake"
