You know BBM meetings is limited to 25 people right? Wouldn't be much of a podcast like situation with no way to broadcast it out sadly. It's not a terrible idea to test it out, however BBM meetings isn't anything really new. It's powered by Zoom and Zoom has been around for quite a while now so technically, it's not even a BlackBerry exclusive thing even though it's being presented as one.
Bla1ze. I do now.
No wonder this idea/suggestion didn't show up with my forum search.
I would like to know more about it or see a demo video about it. BlackBerry should do this but it wouldn't hurt to have Crackberry give'r a go too!
How does it compare to the competition for features and cost?
How does the dial-in number work?
Our company uses Webex.
For Webex they have different options, toll free ( that the host pays for) global dial-in numbers etc. ( We have global employees and customers and need reliable and affordable international voice communication )
We have a few shared accounts that we use for those other us that occasionally use meetings ( i'm sure that's not possible with BBM meetings since it uses a BlackBerry id).
Screen sharing? We do a lot of meetings where we use windows remote desktop to control other systems, is windows desktop sharing an option?
Anyway, I can convince our company to switch if it works very well and saves us money, but I can't even make a case to try it if I don't know more about it.

There's a recording function built in.
Wouldn't that be useful for the Crackberry Podcast?

You can't share accounts as these are linked to your BBID. I suppose you could allow someone to use your BBID on their computer, that might work, but would you trust someone with this??
Haven't tried sharing the Windows desktop yet but z30 worked perfectly.
Why don't you access the trial so you can find all this out? It's far better to trial it for your particular use scenario rather than listen to what other people think of it. It's got to work for you, as all collaboration tools offer different functionality. Then you can decide if it's right for your company.

If I'm correct in interpreting the OP, I would also like to see future crackberry podcasts carried out using bbm meetings.

Bbm Meetings didn't even make the top 6 affordable solutions reviewed by Business News Daily blog on 2/13/14. Probably it wasn't released yet.

Perhaps someone should hit up this guy's twitter to redo his article.
