    Hey everyone!

I am trying to see how widespread the following behaviour is: adding email addresses to your Contacts app will automatically show a user's PIN if a BBID is associated to that email address.
There is no way to check if this PIN is still actively in use. You do not need the owner's permission: the PIN will show up automatically in the Contacts app, even for non-BBM contacts.

I am asking, because the new Beta feature, 'Public Contacts', seems to follow the same pattern.

After loading, I am seeing a dozen or so Public Contacts, but none of them actually have BBM installed anymore. So trying to send them messages just results in a timeout/failure.

I mentioned this is the Beta Zone. I really hope BlackBerry figures out a way to only show Active PINs through these methods! And I hope they figure out a way for people to turn of this "Public" PIN feature if demand for that is high enough.
