Connecting to BBM won't connect

For a few days now whenever I update or install a bbm connected app or game, it come up with the 'connecting to BBM' dialogue, but never completes. All other functions on the phone are working, like bbm, web, web enabled apps, but won't connect to bbm.

Ideas?

did you ever find a fix? I am finding I have this issue too!

same here. i just reactivated my 9780 to use as a work phone and none of my apps that connect to bbm will of past stage 2 of 4
