My brother is trying to download BBM for Android on his S2. but he gets this message instead " Your device is not compatible with this version."

What seems to be the problem here?

What android version is he running? The problem seems to be that his os is not compatible with the app, like the error said.

Looking like it needs to be higher than 4.0.4 however from 4.0 to that it's been posted here that you can load the apk direct not using Google play

I'm running 4.1.2 and it's not available either... But his phone does look like gingerbread.
