    The mass volume of users use broadcast message and it bothers other users to the point where they delete bbm. Blackberry needs an update to turn off broadcast messaging to keep their user base

    I personally don't think it's a big issue and if it is with certain contacts (likely a small percentage) you can delete them rather than the app. Seems a bit drastic to delete an app you use when the simple thing to do would be to avoid the broadcasters.

    I agree with ray689. I warn the people who broadcast me excessively that I will delete them if they keep it up. And if they do, GONE.

    Yeah, I don't want them to remove the feature (or allow opt outs) because a few people are idiots. Just delete the idiots

    Why not that ish is annoying *** hell.

    You're probably one of those folks sending broadcast messages so your friends can follow a certain person.



    I love the idea of being able to turn it off.

    it's not a big deal. Just warned them back, if they still do broadcast, delete them from your contact. Done.
    BlackBerry give you a full control of your BBM contacts.
