    Can anyone assist. We have a BBMe group. For myself and one member chat now says "restoring this protected chat, tap to retry". No amount of tapping will restore the chat.
    Any ideas on how to resolve this issue.

    Clear/Retract the chat and start over.

    Try sharing the passphrase manually?
    How long has it been behaving like this?
    Maybe let it sit and see if it'll think itself out of it.
    Or can try deleting and re-inviting the contact.

    Manual Passphrase, nothing changed
    About 3 or 4 days
    Sitting and waiting
    Both of us deleted each other and invited back, no change.
    Very puzzled, reported problem to blackberry.

    Honestly you should probably give up on it. BlackBerry essentially has.

    From the Chats screen, long press on the contact with the issue, tap retract chat. Error cleared, problem solved.

    But... isn't that what I'd formerly suggested and you said it didn't work? Now I'm confused.

    Ben, from within the chat, it didn't work but on the 2nd screenshot where all the members chats are shown it did work.

    I see. It's kind of odd though that the two wouldn't do the same thing...
