My sister has a Nokia Lumia 635. We use BBM to keep in touch and most of the time it works fine. But every so often when she opens BBM on her Lumia it hangs on a black screen that says Resuming... What's up with that?

I beleive there has been an update to bbm for windows phone since this was posted. Please make sure she is running the latest version and let us know if the problem persists!

There is also an Update currently in Beta I believe. Bringing BBM for Windows to 2.0. See article at N4BB.

Its a problem that can be monitored on all other apps too. Its a major problem of Windows Phone 8.1 and its a reason why I am about to switch to a BBZ10.

I suppose its not an app-problem since a lot of apps in WP 8.1 have been updaten since 8.1 has been rolled out, but the problem persists. So I'd consider it a problem in MS' app framework. I have a Lumia 925 and after the update everything needs a lot of time to load, even the most basic functions, like calendar or music player.

I wonder if it's faster with the higher end devices, I have a Lumia 535 as well and BBM can be painfully slow occasionally
