There have been no clearly defined plans for BBM on WP at the moment. I'm sure that's bound to change, considering the huge acceptance of x-plat BBM.

Already deleted whatsapp, although I don't know anybody with windows phone either, so told everybody either bbm or text me.. still working of getting more people to adapt bbm tho

Who cares. BB mission is to compete with whatsapp. And whatsapp is on every platform in existence right now. Of course BB has to do the same thing for BBM. You would be an ***** to not do the same. That's the reason why whatsapp is so popular. And BB has the follow that path

No one can deny that whatsapp's footprint is HUGE. I personally use 4-5 different IM platforms, because everyone won't be comfortable with or know NOTHING about BBM - did I just say that???

That's not true. In Europe, WP has reached 10% market share. That's double digits and more than what BlackBerry have so you can't discount WP. The budget 520 and 620 have done wonders for WP and with BlackBerry refocusing back on enterprise, it is more likely that the WP share will grow, especially in markets such as Europe, South America, Asia where budget means more.

So BlackBerry do need to have a working WP bbm app eventually to really capture x platform.

I can't speak for all Windows Phone users, but I've been using WhatsApp the entire time I've been using Windows Phone.
