Are there any rumors about launching BBM on WM os? I was going to get new 1520 Lumia and don't want to loose BBM friends.

Had to make a change, Windows Mobile is an old, outdated OS, and I would hope they will get it soon, for the sake of some of my WP friends. I've not heard anything specific yet, though.

I am looking for a windows phone App too but it seems that it will take very long till it appears on Windows Marketplace. I think I will than use another Messenger if I get my Lumia and convert my all BBM friends back to Whatsapp, kik or something like that.

I've been searching the forums for this topic, so thank you, OP, for posting!

I'm disappointed that no one has really heard anything about BBM going cross-platform to Windows. Windows was the only platform I was going to jump to if something happened to BlackBerry in the future (or just for a change in scenery, as I've been fascinated by the Lumia 900's for a long time now); but if BBM does not go cross-platform, I don't think I'd buy one, to be honest. Which is really, really upsetting...

I hope Windows gets BBM soon!

Head of BBM said they will make an app for WP when they have critical mass ( which they don't have now), I'm surprised you guys haven't watched the interview with him, it's on the front page.

Can the head of BBM define what critical mass is? WP has almost the number of users as BB, isn't that big enough? Moreover, other apps also give the same reason and shy away from BB10. How will BB convince other companies to make apps for BB10 if they follow this stingy policy themselves?

I think the WP8 decision, as-is, makes sense. BBRY had to think of ROI. It isn't an evil policy; it's practical.

BBM is not perfect on Android and IOS, they can't develop an app for WP now, they need every one to focus on the two big platforms first and iron out all the bugs and I'm sure as they do thay they will make a WP app, but atm they have to say no critical mass.

We won't get the "proper" Skype app, just because of security problems in it. Skype is not safer to use than the Android OS. And you know that BlackBerry is one of the most protected platforms on the market.
    One more point.
Everybody was waiting for native Skype to come from the time PB was released. And there is much time passed. Are you still waiting for it?

I'm not waiting for it although I would like to have one. I'm just saying maybe ms won't get bbm until they give us skype.

I agree with you, they started this first with Skype, the Android port is a nightmare, duplicates all contacts in the phone.

I don't think anyone is "getting" anybody. If that were the case, BBRY has bigger issues with Google for not bringing over Gapps.

Nah... I assume resources are scarce, and as a developer, BBRY picked the two platforms that would give them most of the market with regards to access to its app.

Are you comparing Android with WP? They can't play that game with Android, BlackBerry will lose more than Android will, they aren't playing that game we know, the reason you said is true but I'm just saying that if I'm BlackBerry, I would play that game.

Was already noted. But seriously, what do you think about the words "enough wp users"?
How many of them should it be?
