Never mind the naysayers or doom & gloomers, 2014 is poised to be a turnaround year for BBM & BlackBerry.

Things are only beginning to warm up, like the link below:

Honestly it is refreshing to hear or see positive things about BlackBerry. I will drink to that too.

I agree. BBM should be huge in 2014. Let's keep our fingers crossed that they get the full features across to apple and Android soon and without big glitches. I feel very optimistic about its potential...hopefully they can monetise it next year as well? Twitter is trading as over $65...is a monetised BBM worth, say, $25? I have no idea to be honest...

I think it will do great if they can get it to work seamlessly on the other platforms.

They need to port the BB10 flick keyboard over to Android and iOS for reasonable price. I use SwiftKey and it's the best I've tried on my Samsung S3 and Samsung Tab 2, but I really Liked BB10 flick keyboard enough to purchase it in the Google play store if they make it available like BBM.

That is a very good point. I'm not sure they would go for that because it's a part of the BB10 experience, but it's an interesting idea. The keyboard would definitely sell. I'm not sure where I stand on the idea of offering the bb10 keyboard to others, but it's a very interesting idea.

But didn't Mr Chen state that one of BlackBerry's goals is to have the BlackBerry experience on Android and iOS. This is something I would buy instantly if available. BlackBerry glass keyboards PlayBook and Z30 are arguably the best out there.

Yes John Chen did say that but I think he needs to elaborate as to exactly what he means. One could also interpret his statement to mean having a very robust (keyboard & all the gestures) BBM & Channels on Android & iOS with all the bells and whistles.

...I'm not sure how developing something for the device but then giving it away to every other platform so you don't have to switch the BlackBerry is going to turn things around.

It's like developing the newest military technology to defend your nation then giving all the blueprints to your enemies. Fail.

Better still, why don't you just buy the real thing: get a nice Z10 or a Z30 lol

Personally I would never fully switch back to BlackBerry at this point, but I would buy and use BlackBerry ported software that work well for me.
