Not sure what type of voice codec they use for BBM but it's so clear that my conversations with other folks with blackberry sounded like they are just in front of me in the same room. We're both on our home Wi-Fi so i'll try again when i'm on 4G or LTE. I wonder if the same quality will come to BBM on Android or IOS. Loving BBM more and more.

I've done it on 4G LTE and its incredible as well, the otherday I called my gf so she could hear the ice in the hudson river, she heard it perfectly.

I stopped using Skype while I'm away because BBM Voice is MUCH clearer even when the data or wifi signal is slightly weak.

Did my test on 4G and same voice quality. Better than my voip using G.711u. I've read here in CB it's using G.722 (HD voice). Wow!

Yep, our team of 4 has swapped over to BBM Voice instead of using the mobile network now it's that much clearer when we talk to each other.

Does anyone know the difference between the natural sound and regular? I have the Z10 and I do not have the new natural sound...I have heard people say on the Z30 when they use BBM Voice it will say on the screen "HD Sound" or "Natural Sound" or whatever it says...but it will say that it is using that...is that a big difference in quality? Does my Z10 have that feature and just doesn't show on the screen?

I believe natural sound came in the 10.2 build I have it and it's way better than when I used it on 10.1

Skype is crap, I suffer from skype, I can barely wait for voice on Android and IOS.

I was at a friends house and didn't have service. I remembered about BlackBerry voice. Used it to call my gf and we were both amazed at how exceptionally good the call quality was. It was the first time we have used it. It sounded like we were in the same room. It was so clear it felt weird being on the phone lol
