Is that a BBM Video icon on Jeff's Playbook next to the Tetris icon? (around 48 mark)

Wow! Props for finding this - pretty cool! I'm not all that familiar with BlackBerry as a platform... does this (possibly) represent RIM's native videoconferencing application?

    Edit:
this is showing due to the playbook being bridged with a device, this is indicated by the appearance of the BlackBerry Bridge tab
Later on in the video he goes to the Bridge tab and the BBM Video icon is absent. Maybe this means it won't count as a bridged app? It does seem a little off, though, because BBM is a bridged application ...

    nice!

although i guess at the beginning you'd only be able to video chat with other playbook users, as not even the 2011 phones will have a front facing camera.

im guessing skype will be more useful initially

Don't think the BBM Video is a bridged app.. It wasn't in the bridged app tab, and also if you notice when u see the BBM video icon at 0:48, you notice the BBM, Calendar, Contacts icons with a small yellow icon ontop of them... probably meaning they are Bridged apps. But the BBM Video icon doesn't have that yellow thing. Anyways, we'll see!

Does....does that also mean that the Playbook may support BBM without being bridged?

In that pic there is also another icon to the left of Bluetooth that looks like a possible orientation lock indicator. Thoughts?

It does support VPN....all the uncompromised full tilt VPN you can shake a stick at baby! Oh yeah

As quoted by,Alex Kinsella-RIM social media team

"For business users, the PlayBook supports
document viewing and editing right out of the
box, and offers built-in enterprise VPN support
and the ability securely access corporate data and
get remote access to your office PC so no need
to lug the laptop with you."

So...if it does....am I to assume it'll have it's own PIN? What if I want to use my current PIN with the Playbook? Guess I'll have to wait.

Then you'll have to use the bridged BBM portion.

bbm video could be a totally different thing from BBM. it could just be what they call their "facetime" app. kevin said it connected using his BBID so not any PIN.

That is what I'm leaning towards to as well. Also, Kevin said that he was prompted to add someone via email address, leading me to believe that ANYONE that has access to a webcam/mobile camera can use it. While I'm not sure how this will work, it looks like a cross-mobile platform is in the works. I could be completely wrong on this, can someone provide some reasoning as to why it may not work?
