BlackBerry has released a new version of BBM today for all platforms, I wanted to create a thread where we can share our observations about features, fixes and issues for all platforms.

(Let's keep the discussion ONLY for the versions mentioned below. And no need to post new features that BlackBerry has publicly announced, ie we all know this version comes with stickers support. Thanks.)

I would love to get some clarification if people using BlackBerry 10 v10.2.0 and prior are all getting offered BBM version 10.3.11.60, and if all people using BlackBerry 10 v10.2.1 and higher are getting offered BBM version 10.3.12.75.

Because I just noticed my 10.2.0.1809 device getting offered 10.3.11.60, so I have updated my version chart to reflect that unless I hear otherwise.

Was yours originally two days off? I've seen reports of that. It's a very curious bug since they're probably already storing the exact date, though maybe they're storing the number of seconds since 1970, or something like that, and the computation is off.

Nope. It was one day off. It still is. No change for me except the Bbm version and the shop and stickers, that pretty much sums it up. Sigh

Can you both tell me what exact version of BBM you are using? And which exact OS version? (Settings/About/OS/OS Version)

Because even within BB10, it appears there are multiple versions that were released 4/1 as explained above.

I could easily believe that the bug might have been fixed in one version and not the other.

Or it could be related to other configuration details on the device.

i was on the latest BBM beta (10.3 V10.64/11.56/12.67). yesterday i got the notification to upgrade to the official BBM (10.3.12.75) released for the BB10 devices.

my OS version is 10.2.1.2141, software release 10.2.1.2102.

My channels aren't updating anymore. I have to open them to get an update inside the channel.

Anyone else is having that problem?

I have noticed lot of improvement with this release. Stickers are welcome but what amazed me with this update is the lag has gone completely. It works buttery smooth on my iPhone 5 and the transition between screens is much much better now! Nice to see BlackBerry working hard towards BBM

Video chat is on my wish list now

Yep, just searched the forum and found this thread cuz I just noticed this issue yesterday. I was getting channel updates perfectly until I updated BBM over the weekend. :-/ Anyone find a fix for this?

Also, my birthday is one day off, as well (the weird thing is that my birthday is correct when I look under my BBID settings in the phone, it's just wrong in BBM...).

I updated my BBM and lost the video chat option. I've only got it to work once but I'm surprised to lose it after a BBM update

The conspiracy theorist in me has to wonder if the tiny emoticons were never changed to make people more compelled to buy stickers.

And as far as I know, BlackBerry never promised larger emoticons, though a lot of people asked for them.

This versions is more laggy than the last for me, I have to wait another 5+ seconds when I go to updates before scrolling down or Its just blank, and in the last version once in a while when I went to updates it would start from the last one I saw, this one is even rarer with doing that, which makes going through updates in the morning a nightmare (have to scroll down then scroll up)

Invites tab still lags but not for as long as before (switching between 'suggested' and 'received/sent' [or even just back to chats] and it keeps showing suggested for a couple seconds)

I like that you can finally see defined invites without having to tap the invite, this was there at the beginning then went, now it's back!

That updates blank bug u described first thing actually is replicated throughout the app and only started when I updated.. e.g
When i go to my subscribed channels and scroll down, it will be blank for a few seconds, if I open a channel and scroll down through posts, it will stay blank for a few seconds..
