My bbm is not working on wifi. I'm not getting any msgs or updates. Any idea wat the matter is?

Hate to ask the obvious by have you tried restarting the device? Also are you sure your WiFi is ok? Can you do other stuff, such as browse the web? Do you see a BB symbol in the upper right hand corner of the device?

I did all that. I'm getting my emails and everything else over wifi. I can even browse the internet. I jst can't get any msgs, send any msgs or even see any new recent updates. I don't knw what's the matter.

Sounds similar to what I experienced this morning - and getting all my emails and being able browse puzzled me too. I rebooted the router and all worked again.

I tried that as well. Nothing is working. I have no idea wat 2 do. I googled for some answers but still don't have anything that really worked.

I don't know mate. I went through the same thing. Do you have a phone signal? Can you get on to a different wifi signal and see if it works there? Process of elimination I think.

Everything is working fine. The laptop, tablets, other phones. Only my BlackBerry has the problem. So I'm guessing it is the bbm on my fone itself that has thhe prob.

While it REALLY sounds like some sort of software issue, to rule it out, try BBVE to see if there are any hardware issues....

Which OS is the Q running and have you tried a backup and reload of OS?

I have the same problem. When I connect to wifi, small BlackBerry symbol shows up near wifi symbol for some time. Then it vanishes. As far as I know if that BlackBerry symbol is not displayed then you will not get any BBM messages. That's what is happening with me!! What does BlackBerry symbol signify because I get emails, WhatsApp messages even when that symbol is not visible???

Interesting, so this happening on every single wifi connection or is it just the one you're on? Have you tried free wifi spots like McD?

Just wifi at my place!! It might be a router problem that BlackBerry symbol does not show up. But why BBM need that BlackBerry symbol? What is the purpose?? If I'm getting emails that means data connection is alive!!!

the logo symbolises the traffic via bb apn it could be your ISP too. try and troubleshoot those.
