I have a Q10 with AT&T running os 10.1.0.2030 or whatever is the latest available for the phone in the USA. Now to address my problem.

I have been getting an pop up whenever i try to open bbm or try to reply to a bbm message from the hub. The pop up message shows a red exclamation mark in the middle with the words, "bbm has lost connection. Please wait while server attempts to reconnect" written underneath. I have had this problem for close to 3 weeks now and it has not gone away even after restarting my phone. I have not tried clearing the memory because i have not had time. Any help or tips to get my bbm working again would be awesome. Thanks.

I am got the same issue on my device after I updated BBM. BBM is not working and the error doesn't go away. I'm on ATT too.

I had the same problem a while back.. but it was only in the hub that I got that screen and message.. it was fine when I opened BBM.. try these methods and hope it works again
1) restart hub - swipe from the upper right corner of the screen towards the center of the screen (diagonally) 5 times
2) hard refresh hub - go to seeing in hub, go to display and actions, display style> then change it to single messages.. go on screen back.. it should show "rebuilding list ".. once it's done.. go back to display style and change it back to "conversation ".
3) soft reset: press the power button and hold it till u see the blue boot splash screen..or press both the power up and down buttons till the screen turns off.. then boot again..


Hope this helps.. took a long time to type this out..lol
PS- u r getting the BBM sign on the top of the screen though rite? Just beside the 4G sign?

Thank you for your reply. I just tried troubleshooting using your steps. It does not work.

I wonder if this is a bug inside BBM. Do you know if there is a way to escalate this with the BBM team somehow?

Try contacting you carrier store if it's on contract.. or contact BlackBerry ?

why when I type a message in a bbm chat group does it take a while for my message to pop up. Z10. I can count to 30 slowly before it appears?? Any suggestion would help. Thanks.

It happens to me as well. I almost think my message hasn't been typed and then all of a sudden it pops into the group.
I don't know if there is a fix for it.
