I don't see this really talked about too much here, but I wanted to know if anyone knows the results of the recent BBM stress test conducted by CrackBerry on behalf of BBerry?

As well, for BlackBerry was there any indication during that test there could be server load issues? Would BlackBerry know if any leaked versions from other platforms participated in that test?

I think the issue is with account creation, not adding/messaging other users.

OK, so the server side software not being able to keep up with new account requests?

    Interesting. Thanks.

    I didn't say that.

I'm speculating that maybe generating PINs is the problem. Say the beta was meant to "ask" the server for PINs within a certain alphanumeric range. Maybe 10k PINs were blocked off for beta testing.

Might start causing problems if 1.1 million devices started requesting PINs from a pool of 10k available ones?

Or maybe the PINs created for the beta registrations had higher level network priority, or were handled differently to simulate higher server loads.

    Again, just speculation.
