    Hi just wondering seems like my messages generally take longer most of the time than my other chat programs like what's app. It might be my carrier but was wondering if there might be a fix or workaround to help

    I'm on os 10 BlackBerry passport

    That makes sense. BBM goes through numerous stages when being sent from a smartphone, through the BlackBerry and carriers network, then repeats again when it arrives at the intended device. Slower but we're talking seconds, not minutes.

    It's in bursts where I can type to someone repeatedly and it's instant but then it will go grey for sometimes 10-15 minutes. Weird did not always do that.

    BBM has been acting strange of late. I get the bursts aswell, and messages are taking an extraordinary amount of time to deliver. This has been going on for a few days now.

    This happens a lot with me also, I don't know if it's just because it's cross-platform..

    It's happened since it went cross-platform. It's why everyone I know has stopped using bbm on their androids and iphones. Even I prefer whatsapp even though I have a BlackBerry. It just works quicker.

    Feel the same. Just downloaded today whatsup from BlackBerry World and having a good surprise. The same for voice calls on whatsup where it sounds better than on BBM. After all these years supporting BBM I feel a bit annoyed and sad with this.
