BBM and PIN management
Could anyone clarify something for me ?
Say I have a Q10 and a Z10 and regularly switch between the two.
Both phones are linked to my BlackBerry ID.
- Why should I have 2 PINS for just 1 BlackBerry ID ?
- If I give the Q10 PIN, will I see those contacts sync'ed on my Z10 if it stay connected in WiFi?
- Can i just hand out 1 PIN ?
-
The pin's are based on device. So each phone has it's own.

When I switched back to a BB device after having BBM on a Android device. BlackBerry ID handled all my contacts and updated my PIN on the contacts side. Didn't have to worry about resetting up anything. It was all handled on the servers.

But then, why should we have several PINs for several devices ?
Why can't I have just one PIN attached to my BlackBerry ID, like a universal ICQ number if you will ?
And if you are using your Android device, can you give your BlackBerry PIN instead ?

PIN's are like keys, and each device has there own unique hexadecimal key, my Q10 starts off with a 3, My playbook starts off with a 5, and my Note 2 started off with a 7. It is a identifier and no one pin is the same for every device. Say for example your phone was stolen. You received a new one. Do you still want your messages still going to that other phone if it was a Account pin instead of a device pin?

I see what you mean thanks for your reply, but it's still irrelevant to me.
Not only can i change my BlackBerry ID password or remotely wipe my device but my email will still be pushed to the stolen device...
