All of a sudden today, when opening BBM on my Z30 there's an extended load time before content fills the BBM frame.

Can't think of anything that I installed or changed software-wise so I don't think I caused this. There was an update to the CB10, the baked-in Weather app, and Hide Files for BB10 application but nothing too extensive.
Come to think of it BlackBerry World is also loading content very slowly now too.
Restarted my Z30 multiple times to see if it would clear whatever condition seems to be causing this but no change.

Is anyone else seeing this as of today?

Can it be you're running out of memory?

Delete some notifications/facebook notifications/old emails from the HUB and maybe one app or two that you haven't touched in a while and reboot your device (hold the top buttom and ignore screen prompts. hold it till you see the BlackBerry logo).

Thanks for your suggestions but I think I'm good on memory.
My built in storage is only half full at just over 8 gigs and my microSD card has lots of space remaining.

As for system resources Device Monitor shows CPU usage between 1.9 - 3.6 % and memory usage between 1.6 - 3.0 % so it doesn't seem like the overall system is deeply being taxed.

I'll try the total reboot as you mentioned.

In the end I'm not sure what did the trick but following that full shutdown / restart. All is well.
