Working for me. Red X is usually a problem with your network connection so you cant even reach a server. Turn wifi off (or on) and check again. If wifi is connected to a router it has priority over cellular even if the router can't see internet. If through a hotspot make sure you are fully logged in and able to reach all websites

I'm having issues but would get the grey box icon! Can receive bbm's no problem but can't send! It's been like this since xmas day! Only way to get it to work is to take out my sim card and just use wifi! After a while I would just insert my sim card and will work again....but only for a couple of hours then I have to do the process again!

The past few hours I'm having issues sending to a couple of contacts. Red X comes up but then 10 mins later another message will send (with delay). Then red x again. And repeats.
Actually it just got worse. Sent two messages, grey box for 2 minutes, one went to red cross and then one delivered. Then the one that had delivered went to a red cross, but my contact replied to them both, so he did receive them.
What the hell?!
