A friend of mine just installed Bbm on her android device but the call icon doesn't appear in the top right and I can't see her icon on my end either ,is there something extra that she needs to do (remember, no icon at all,green or gray).thanks!

On her phone tap on the bottom right corner the 3 dots button and then select settings. On the settings make sure the BBM icon is selected to be active and also if you want her phone icon to be always green you have to switch allow calls over network connection on. If she has a small data plan then switch that off. Probably if you restart her phone the phone icon will show up. Maybe do the same with your phone too.

Voice calls is not available on Android Gingerbread OS. So first determine which Android OS she has.
