    Yep. It's not. Just used both during an international trip.

    Aside from BBM voice *never* working, some observations:

    Active tile on WA displays useful info, like your last convo. BBM? Meaningless updates about profile pics. Um? Why?

    Typing on WA, adding files, stickers, etc, is slicker. The animations are coherent. On BBM they're insanely complex and make me dizzy. Isn't this BlackBerry's signature app on its own platform? I really dislike the overwrought animations on BlackBerry apps. Text message is the same.

    I don't care if Whatsapp will wash my dishes for me. The fact that it automatically pulls all of my contact info without giving me any control over who is added and who is notified that I have whatsapp means I will never have it installed on my phone.

    -- and the fact it's part of the Facebook machine means it'll never be on mine. BTW, I've used BBM on international travel before with no issues at all, and I regularly use it for international voice chats.
