Hahahaah lovely! Watch how they gonna fudge up the whole thing. I doubt its going to be better than WebEx.
No way!

Seems to be replaced by bbm meetings..
Can't confirm 100% as 10.3.1 isn't official yet.. we'll know soon enough if the rug was officially pulled out from underneath us

Ok. I have some questions here:
First, the 12.50 is American I'm guessing, since when I loaded the site here in Canada is listed 13.37 or something.
Second, we heard not too long ago that BBM was going to have "premium" features for a subscription. Then they replaced the BBM Video with the useless BBM meetings icon. Now BBM meetings is here with a fairly substantial subscription fee. Do BBM meetings subscriptions include these Premium Features? Or am I gonna have to pay two sub fees to get BBM working as it frankly should?
Third, is this only available to BES12? I'm sure to join a meeting no, but to host. In the trial sign up it asks whether or not you have employees, how many, what your title is, etc. I can't trial/host without being an enterprise person of interest?
Fourth, no iOS?
Fifth, no one on one BBM video for consumers using BBM anymore?
This seems like a bum deal for the fan, and a good deal for businesses. Which I guess is their strategy, but that sucks hard for the rest of us.

In one-on-one chats the Voice/Video Icon is still the default for BBM... the Meetings Icon only shows up in Groups automatically.
Not sure how to feel. One the one hand this was another great presentation. And Meetings looks incredible.
On the other hand it also looks like something incredibly useful to personal users, and once again they did not so much as mention that. So the feeling that they themselves started, that BBM is being stripped of features in favour of a paid enterprise model, is still very much alive. And that sucks.
Is it $13 per user or per BES12 license?
Displaced. Share screen is part of bbm meetings now?

It's not specific to BES 12 it's 13 per host. Host + 24 people?

Any one who has bought or activated a trial may help me? It tells me to login with my BlackBerry Account which I have no idea what it is so that I can checkout

Your BlackBerry account is the same you use on BBWorld to buy apps, and to log in to BBM...

It's the same as your bbid, used to login to bbm or purchase in BBW

I do try and login but it says incorrect. I know I am inputting it correctly

It's not the same as your bbid. The site referred to is the BlackBerry Enterprise store, which has a different login.
I too would love to try it out with someone who has bit the bullet and bought the 30 day trial (which in Canada comes to 15 bucks after tax; went as far as the checkout)

Fixed it guys. Just had to create a separate BlackBerry store account. Now up and running with BBM meetings!

Be sure to cancel your trial in time! If you have read the fine print you would have seen you signed up for an automatically refreshing license and will be charged $150 or more if you do not do so...

How do I start using BBM Meetings? I signed up for the trial subscription, but when I try to start a meeting, it still tells me I need a subscription. How do I link my BBID with my Entreprise Store Account? I'm using the same email address for each account... I thought that would be all I needed to do but it's not working.
I thought i heard Chen saying ALL the prices :)
But it was @the end of the event...maybe you missed it?

Here is the fine print I was talking about. It really seems heavily targeted at enterprise:

They really need to offer a limited participant free tier like WebEx. Otherwise they are literally limiting themselves to a corporate/IT dept push down based adoption, rather than also allowing employees to become familiar with it outside of work and then suggesting it to their company.

installed... paid service... uninstall.
are we getting BBM cross platform for one on one video chat? Is that going to be free? Do i really have to keep using Skype?
How much does it cost?
