How did you delete the bbm.exe in the google extender? My screen says cannot delete a permanent file

Sys.bbm file shows available to delete, which I promptly did. Other files cannot be deleted. That was the only file that I deleted and replaced.

Now that I think of it, I believe I first installed the new sys.bbm file as I had read that that would 'replace' and fix the corrupted channels bbm. It didn't. When I went back in the chrome extension, I deleted the sys.bbm file that was there and installed (what could be the same) new sys.bbm file.

    Hope that makes sense

Yes, using these tools to install over the existing one causes the read only flag to be removed. That's why you were able to delete yours.

Awesome I will try this. When you say 'reload' the bbm.exe file how do you do that? I have the 10.1 and 10.1 bars but don't know about any bbm.exe files floating around out there.

Ah no prob...I got the bbm file from the crackberry.com post here

    http://m.crackberry.com/you-may-have...beta-installed

which pointed to the file download here

    https://mega.co.nz/#!XBcj1KRT!ZKIrWn...0MOdpc8z58E9HQ

It's the 10.2 bbm bar file and it includes dark theme

I installed the file via the chrome extension, unplugged, no change. Then reconnected, uninstalled the sys.bbm file, and reinstalled this one.

It fixed both of my bbm issues (group profile pics not appearing, and then the can't connect exclamation point screen).

    Good luck!
