I really don't know what to say about this but I'm in extreme anger, I just lost all my chat history! the question is WHY?!!!!!!

I was on BBM channels, checking Berryflow channel when suddenly this happened





After it opened, it loaded every contact picture like I just bought the phone, opened one of my chats and bam, nothing in there.

The lost connection message happens quite a lot lately but this time it took my chats, why is this happening? Is there anyway to get my chats back?

Unfortunately, when it restores your info....no. Those chats are closed and gone. You need to reopen them and start chatting again.

I still don't get why isn't the BBOS way of saving chats used in BB10!

If a chat is really that important to you, hit the three dots, choose copy chat, and paste it into a remember entry.

This happened to me but as a result I lost all my sticker pack purchases! Not really feeling like spending that money again.. I loved those stickers but if I can just lose them that easily I won't be re purchasing. Which is a shame because I really was on board for supporting BlackBerry with that new endeavour

Members here will actually blame you somehow, until it happens to them.

The problem is that it will happen again for sure, I can't just keep losing chats history and purchased stickers.

Once it started it was like a plague.. my BBM has been losing connection every 10 minutes.. resets everything every time.. but now it's affected the rest of my phone.. it's totally borked my hub. And I tried a reset to fix it and when my phone reset all my folders were gone suddenly had 9 pages of apps.. before the reset I had 4.. I know that sounds more like my phone is just having a stroke in general but it all started getting bad immediately after my BBM first had a "lost connection" moment on Monday.. then it was downhill.

The cherry on top is now my BlackBerry Link will not complete a backup of my phone, it stalls at 100% after backing up application data. So I guess if I wipe I lose it all... brutal.

Man this happened to me. Lost everything. You don't copy all of your chats expecting to lose everything. Why doesn't it save some where. It tells you everything was restored. This seriously needs to be addressed.

True, I don't think it's that hard to store BBM messages on the internal memory, or even better just do like Whatsapp.

They are attached to the app, and when the app feels like acting gay it deletes them, this is REALLY annoying, I lost 4 months of chats because of this ****! They need to make it like BBOS.

I've never had this issue either (Z10 and Z30), neither has my wife (Q10), my sister (Z10), or mom (Z10).

Aside from my mom, we are all in the same geographical area with the same carrier. I wonder if it is related to an actual "connection" issue isolated to a few areas.

That still doesn't justify the wiping of all conversations. The only time this happened to me was when I first loaded one of the early beta BBM versions... hasn't happened since.

I'm thinking mine is because it's an unlocked AT&T Q10. I'm using it on T-mobile which only gets LTE. No HSPA+ or 3G bands.

I honestly think it's a band compatibility issue for me.
